Lockdown completely threw my routine & I put on so much weight.

The Turning Point:

Finding Zoom & then POW8R with Holly & Cal completely changed my life. They have both been so incredibly patient with me, encouraging me & pushing me every step of the way.

The Journey:

From Cal’s motivational videos & Holly’s tough love, the amazing WhatsApp groups & friends I have made for life. They have both created a lifestyle for me that I could never be without. I owe them so much & couldn’t recommend them more. You won’t find two people more caring & more dedicated to you & your progress, no matter how many times you fall, they’ll pick you back up & celebrate the small & big wins. Thank you ♥

See how you can start working out and begin your workout journey.

Danielle’s Journey https://pow8r.com/danielles-journey/ https://pow8r.com/danielles-journey/#respond Thu, 01 Apr 2021 14:33:28 +0000 https://www.pow8r.com/?p=127 The Why:

Being a working mum of 2 young kids, time is something which seems to run out in the blink of an eye!

Making time for yourself is something which for me always went to the bottom of my very busy to do list!

Pre lockdown I used to have total mum guilt, when leaving the house at 5.30am each morning to go to the gym to fit in that class or workout before racing to do a full day at work, all the time feeling torn between wanting to be there for the kids but also wanting an hour to do something for me.

The Turning Point:

I started Pow8r in January – I felt horrible after eating and drinking my way through Christmas and piling weight on. I chose Pow8r because of the focus on it being a lifestyle and the flexibility of the different workouts on offer but I was apprehensive about whether I’d be able to keep up – I’m 48 in October and was definitely expecting to struggle.

My goal was a flat stomach which I haven’t been able to achieve with anything I’ve done in the past probably because I’m a massive foodie and just eat what I want when I want ? and have never really taken exercise seriously.

The Journey:

Seven months on and I’ve lost over a stone in weight and am well on the way to a flat stomach but more than that I’m fitter and healthier than I’ve ever been physically and mentally.

I started by just taking one day at a time getting up for the lives without thinking too much about it and before I knew it, I was 5 months in and hadn’t missed a live session, training consistently 4 times a week and supplementing this with some of the 8 min ab workouts to sort my stomach out.

The app is amazing, just gives you the flexibility to train wherever you are so you don’t have to break your routine if you don’t want to.

I’d definitely recommend Pow8r to anyone no matter how old or unfit you think you are. Just take things at your pace and slowly build yourself up. It’s you against you! It’s changed my life and my outlook on how to feel good.

Jane’s Journey https://pow8r.com/janes-journey/ https://pow8r.com/janes-journey/#respond Thu, 01 Apr 2021 13:52:56 +0000 https://www.pow8r.com/?p=118 The Why:

Pow8r works for me as the perfect complement to my fitness routine.

There’s a really good pick and mix of workouts from the 45 min lives to 8 min add ons that you can put together to create your own tailored workouts.

And it’s really flexible! I travel a bit with work so I pack my mat and kettlebell and Pow8r comes with me wherever I go.

I like that Holly and Cal can’t see you so it doesn’t matter where you are, what you’re wearing or what you look like, it’s all about getting the best out of your day.

The Turning Point

I managed to persuade my daughter to get back in to training at the beginning of 2021, so she joined with a friend when Pow8r launched.

We set up a little WhatsApp group between us for support which has now grown to include friends and family who have signed up for round 2.

The Journey:

It is fantastic motivation when you see the transformations already achieved by our group. It shows you can get results if you put your mind to it and we help each other along the way.

That’s been really important during lockdown to keep us going and we’ve all seen a difference both mentally and physically.

This time round I am looking forward to the yoga sessions and – hopefully – getting outside in the garden to train!

Lisa’s Journey https://pow8r.com/lisas-journey/ https://pow8r.com/lisas-journey/#respond Thu, 01 Apr 2021 11:56:06 +0000 https://www.pow8r.com/?p=110 The why:

I’m a massively gym bunny and love keeping fit.

2020 started with great expectations to keep fit whilst pregnant with my second baby (like I did with my first) however, the pandemic hit, I broke my toe (!) and my plans ground to a halt.

I lost all motivation and vowed to lose my baby weight after the baby was born when and gyms re-opened.

However, after having a c-section and needing to rest for 8/12 weeks, all attempts to hit the gym were stopped when a second lockdown arrived.

The turning point:

In 2021 when the news of a third lockdown hit, I knew I had to do something and couldn’t wait for gyms to open.

I love my body for carrying two healthy children, but knew that for my own mental and physical health, I needed to regain my fitness and tone up.

I saw pics of a friend of mine on Instagram and was amazed by her body transformation. She told me all about Pow8r and that was it, I signed up ASAP.

The journey:

It’s been bloody hard, but also amazing. I’ve done every live workout, even though most nights I have a few hours of sleep.

The workouts go so fast and by the end I am buzzing and ready for the day.

The recipes have been great and I have honestly never felt better.

8 weeks in and I’ve lost a stone, but more than weight loss – I’ve gained so much more body confidence and energy.

Callum and Holly are amazing and I can’t wait for the next 8weeks!!

Elise’s Journey https://pow8r.com/elises-journey/ https://pow8r.com/elises-journey/#respond Thu, 01 Apr 2021 10:58:30 +0000 https://www.pow8r.com/?p=98 The Why:

I chose POW8R when I saw it back in January; with another lockdown announced and Christmas just gone, I was at my lowest point. Towards the end of 2020 my mental health was it its worst. I was starving myself because I hated what I saw in the mirror…it was a repetitive circle of self-sabotage. With not eating I have absolutely no effort to even think about exercise and then I saw POW8R advertised and I was really interested.

The Turning Point:

We all know that Cal and Holly are the best in the business so this was my turning point. A new chance to start afresh and get myself back to feeling more ‘me’.  I never thought I’d get through given the state I was in but I was really excited to start.

The Lifestyle:

It was so hard and during the workouts I did ask myself #is this really worth it’ – but yes, yes it is!

I genuinely feel like a new person – I’m so much happier, have so much energy and my favourite part of the day is when the alarm goes off at 5.30am and I’m prepped to do my workout!

That’s my time and even with everything going on in the World that’s out of our control – these few hours are the ones I can make sure I smash and make life worth living.

I know that is just the beginning and my transformation is just a small snippet of what’s to come but I’m absolutely love the journey and nothing can beat this feeling!
